Peak Performance Spine & Sports Medicine Clinic was founded in 1998 originally as Fairmont Rehabilitation & Pain Management. The clinic was founded to serve specialists in neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, and pain management with conservative treatment solutions for their patients for which there are limited other options. Dr. Robert Barton, D.C. completed a neurosurgical rotation with Edward Murphy, M.D. in 1996 forging a relationship that has ultimately benefited thousands of patients. A specific biomechanical rehabilitation model was developed to address mechanical pain syndromes that were difficult to treat with traditional passive therapies alone. The clinic continued to develop relationships with other specialists thus providing solutions to additional patients suffering from musculoskeletal pain syndromes. Low tech rehabilitation strategies are also used to correct biomechanics and complement the high tech devices used by the clinic.
